Jobstown is an area of West Tallaght, a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is about seven miles outside of Dublin. Jobstown is densely populated, with high unemployment and a reputation as dangerous place.

According to a 2004 census, this area had the highest crime activity in Ireland that year. It was also in a 2004 top-ten list of overall crime rates in towns throughout Europe. Jobstown is generally viewed as an area with high crime rates and drug problems, however, since the mid-90s numerous programs have been put into place by the government and the area has somewhat improved.

Jobstown is famous for the drug marches of the mid-90s, a period in which not only Jobstown but the whole of West Tallaght was gripped by drug-related problems. Other areas of West Tallaght, including Brookfield, Rossfield, Fettercairn and Springfield have also had problems with drugs. These marches were pivotal in the battle against drug dealers in the area.

Famous people from the West Tallaght area include Robbie Keane and Richard Dunne, both English Premiership soccer players. Several Eircom League soccer players are from the area as well. Up-and-coming Irish actor Gavin Kielty is also from the West Tallaght area.
